It's about 8pm here and I'm watching my boy lying on his play mat watching Phineas and Ferb and wiggling all over the place.
School was okay today. Sent one student out who wouldn't shut up for 2 seconds to let me say anything to the class. I sure hope he's gone for good soon. I feel like I finally take a breath when the clock strikes 4 and I get to go home to my son and my hubby. No matter what kind of a mood I'm in, his smile can make me feel worlds better. Love my sweet precious boy to pieces.
I told my hubs Jason that I want to learn something new. I just have this desire to learn how to do something...how to bake really yummy treats, or sew things, or something else. Actually, I really want to learn how to garden. We are planning, when we have the money to do it, to build a no dig garden on our screened in patio. We want to start growing vegetables and other things to become somewhat self-sufficient and to save money. I also want to really learn how to coupon...not just random coupons here and there but how to coupon to seriously save money. I mean, I'm not planning on stockpiling a 1000 rolls of toilet paper in the closet or anything but I really do want to save money on groceries.
I'm hoping I can get my coupons somewhat organized this summer. Oh summer....I cannot wait! I thought I was ready for summer last year but I have never wanted a summer vacation so badly. There is so much I want to accomplish this summer...but my first priority will be my lil man!
My husband's younger brother and his wife and their little baby girl are moving in at the end of May to save up money to buy a house so this place will be utterly crazy but....as much as I enjoy my life as it is now...I'm kinda excited for the adventure. My sweet niece Mileena loves her cousin and it won't be long before he will be able to sit up on his own and actually play with her. It seems like a long way off but this summer is going to fly and my boy will be 6 months old in July. ........ Okay, mild heart attack. I don't even want to think about it. He is growing so fast and changing and learning. Before I know it, it will be January and he will be a year old!! Not fair!
He is talking up a storm and smiling constantly now. I think slowly but surely he is growing out of his super gassy stage. He still has his moments where he gets really painful gas but their becoming less and less. He's moved up to the 3-6 month nipples on his bottle already and eats much faster now...nice for me at 3am :)
Well, I'm going to love on my boy some more before he gets ready for bed.
Good night, world!

It's Friday!
Well, I'm in 4th period right now as my students study for their vocabulary test. Lots of students absent and on field trip so my class of usually 21 is down to 12. Later on this period, we're taking our 7th graders to the cafeteria to honor one of our school's secretaries for Secretary Appreciation Week. We have a spa gift card for her as well as 2 bouquets of flowers, a tiara, lots of cards made by the students and posters. She's a hard working woman who deserves the best so that's what we're doing for her.
I am so glad it's Friday! I think I'm going to clean out and wash the car tomorrow.
I've been trying to think of ways to celebrate my husband's birthday his year without breaking the bank. Instead of buying a cake like I do EVERY year, I'm going to try my hand at red velvet cheescake cupcakes. We shall see.
Alrighty, I might post later when I get home but I gots to go give my kids their test. Later!

My First Blog
Wow! It has been a looooong time since I've had a blog. I had one I kept up with almost daily when I was in high school but once I got to college, I kinda stopped blogging altogether. I've tried a couple times to start again but life always seems to get in the way. But, I'm a new mom and want to start chronicling the journey that is motherhood on here.
Right now, I'm at work. The majority of my students are on a field trip today so the ones that are here took their vocab quiz, got their new words, and are now playing cards....shhhhh. I can't really give them any real work to do because then all my other kids will be behind and that is just a major pain. I teach Language Arts to some really crazy 7th graders. But in June I'm taking my elementary test in hopes that I can find an elementary position somewhere. I think I will enjoy that much better.
Our son's name is Gabriel Kayden. He was born on January 20th of this year. He is our pride and joy. It is so rewarding to watch him learn new things and discover the world around him. And can I just say....his little toothless smile just melts my heart. Every day with him is something brand new and I love it. He had to stay in the hospital for 7 days after he was born due to a bacterial infection but he never acted sick. It sucks because I feel like I sorta missed out on the first week of his life but I'm making up for it now. He is 14 weeks old today and has started taking 6 oz. at each feeding. He sleeps pretty well at night...sometimes all the way through but usually from around 8ish to 3ish, eats, then goes back to sleep for a couple more hours.
I love my little man! I hope I can keep up with this blog and write about my sweet boy, my wonderful husband, my hopeful job change, and just my crazy unpredicable life that I do quite enjoy!
God Bless!
